Drone Work - Capturing Porsche across the mountains of Switzerland

One of my more favorite projects from 2024 involved capturing a 992.1 Porsche Carrera 4 GTS throughout the mountains of Switzerland for the Youtube channel The Driven Garage.
This shoot was a tight production, where only the driver and I were present for the entire shoot. Captured along the big 3 passes in Andermatt, Switzerland, we rode up and down the Furka, Grimsel, and Susten passes for two days capturing on a variety of cameras. The concept for the video was to showcase everything that makes these roads a must see for drivers; the thrill of the turns, the speed of the straights, and precision of the switchbacks, all against the backdrop of the Swiss mountaintops.
We shot on the FX3, DJI Action Cam 4, DJI Osmo Pocket, and Insta360 Action Cam for the car work and static shots. For the drone shots, we captured everything on a DJI Mavic 3 Cine Pro for cinematic drone, and a DJI Avata 2 for the FPV, all while operating from the vehicle.
Taking the proper safety precautions, we were able to film some beautiful moments on the Swiss passes.
Note: I held all proper certifications, licenses, and insurances to operate in the EU & Switzerland, and followed all guidelines for this shoot.
For the FPV shots, we knew we wanted to capture a couple of follow shots, starting with a drop in that showcases the environment and road before dropping down to reveal the car.

For the larger cinematic drone shots, we wanted to focus on the road as the hero, while also allowing for the environment to be available for cut-ins or establishing shots.

Truly one of the most fun drone shoots to do, and grateful for the opportunity to film such an experience.
